Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that this activity involves known and unanticipated risks, including but not limited to falls from height, ground falls while bouldering, belay or equipment failure, falling holds or gear, and collisions with other climbers. I understand that such risks cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity, and I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in this activity. My participation is purely voluntary, and I elect to participate in spite of the risks.
Belay and Equipment Responsibility
I agree to use ropes, harnesses, and belay devices only after demonstrating competence to staff or completing the facility's orientation, to perform partner checks before every climb, and to climb and fall only within marked zones while bouldering.
Facility Rules
I agree to follow all posted facility rules and staff instructions, and to report any damaged hold, rope, or equipment to staff immediately.
Release and Waiver of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in climbing, bouldering, and training activities at the facility, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless the business, its officers, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, losses, and liability arising out of or related to any injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Medical Authorization
I certify that I am physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent my safe participation. I authorize the business to secure emergency medical treatment on my behalf if needed, and I agree to be financially responsible for any such treatment.
Severability and Governing Law
I agree that this agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state in which the activity takes place, and that if any portion is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full legal force and effect.
