Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that this activity involves known and unanticipated risks, including but not limited to collisions with motor vehicles, pedestrians, or other cyclists, falls caused by road surfaces or weather, mechanical failure, and the higher speeds of electric bikes. I understand that such risks cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity, and I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in this activity. My participation is purely voluntary, and I elect to participate in spite of the risks.
Traffic Laws and Helmet Use
I agree to obey all traffic laws and signals, to ride only where bicycles are permitted, and to wear a helmet at all times while riding. I certify that I am able to ride a bicycle safely and that I meet any posted age requirement for e-bike operation.
Rental Equipment Responsibility
I agree to inspect the bike before leaving, to report any defect immediately, to lock the bike whenever unattended, and to return it in the condition received. I accept financial responsibility for loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear.
Release and Waiver of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the rental and use of bicycles and electric bicycles, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless the business, its officers, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, losses, and liability arising out of or related to any injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Medical Authorization
I certify that I am physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent my safe participation. I authorize the business to secure emergency medical treatment on my behalf if needed, and I agree to be financially responsible for any such treatment.
Severability and Governing Law
I agree that this agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state in which the activity takes place, and that if any portion is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full legal force and effect.
